The Project

A navigable 3D environment
built to sell, not just show

Delivered as part of a larger project team spanning several partner studios, this was a digital flagship built for a global luxury fashion house to mark a significant brand milestone. The brief called for a fully navigable 3D environment where visitors could explore product, watch embedded video, and move straight through to checkout.

Born Creative were responsible for programming the entire Next.js application. 3D models and rendering were expertly provided by our partners; our role was to integrate everything into a cohesive, performant, and fully internationalised product, wired into the client's live commerce and inventory systems.

The experience shipped in more than a dozen languages and regional variants, each one routing automatically to its corresponding local storefront. Production ran on infrastructure the client's own enterprise team specified and operated.

Immersive 3D Experience

A Next.js application with a fully navigable 3D environment, visitors move through virtual spaces, interact with product and embedded video, in a way static pages simply cannot deliver.

Live Commerce Integration

Direct integration with the client's commerce and inventory systems, pulling live product data and routing through to the correct regional store, so everything on screen was shoppable.

Multi-Region Localisation

The full experience was translated and localised across more than a dozen languages and regional variants, with automatic routing to the correct storefront for purchase, all from a single Next.js codebase.

Our Approach

Performance in a demanding environment

A 3D environment with embedded video, live commerce data, and a dozen-plus language variants is a demanding brief. We managed the complexity by keeping the Next.js application architecture clean, clear separation between the 3D rendering layer, the content API, and the i18n routing.

Video playback within the 3D environment was handled by a dedicated video library, chosen for its reliability and its ability to meet the format and quality bar the client required.

The development process followed a standard enterprise pipeline: local development server, staging for client review and acceptance, then production deployment to infrastructure managed to the client's own enterprise standards. Our involvement spanned every stage of that pipeline.
